Atonement

This series/installation use the real life stories of women's experiences in their respective churches. I was inspired by my own experiences growing up as the daughter of a pastor. I used my own image to allow myself to work through my own dealings with religious trauma while representing the stories of others as a way to connect us all together. These connections tell the story of sexism and abuse both physical and mental, felt by women done in the name of Christianity.
